Bad Experience at Braums because of rude employee - I bought Milk, Apple, Ice cream and breakfast burrito @ BRAUMS


I was at Braums (2305, SE Walton Blvd, Bentonville, AR) today (May 23, 2013) @ 9.00am. I went into the milk and fruits section and bought what I needed and then decided to buy some breakfast and went to the main counter at the entrance to order breakfast. While I was there I asked them If I could check out and pay for the rest of the items ( milk, fruits, etc ) at that counter, but the lady there said I had to go back to the milk/fruits section to check those items out.

When I went back to the check out counter at the grocery section, there was an old lady at the counter who was really mad at me for going to the other counter and she said she could be in trouble because I asked the other counter if I could get checked out there. She said you are supposed to come here and check out your grocery items. When I say you should come here to do it, that means YOU MUST come here! Don't u understand! I was really offended, I asked sorry and left.

I have been a regular customer of Braums for 3 yrs and this is the first time I have had a bitter experience at Braums. Please take action.

I work at a braums, I dont know why that policy is in place, I think its silly. I know that I have been told its because they can not weigh the stuff over in the fast food area but that is BS. You can manually enter it in. But the employee had no business talking to you like that; RantNandaviN I agree with the fact that you should have spoke up then and there, action would have been taken. But I know that at our store we had drive-thru grocery items for a little while but got rid of it before i started working there, I dont know why it was taken away other than people where not coming in to the store.

You mean you went all the way home and stewed over it until you decided something must be done! "I'll complain about this online!".

You should have told the rude employee you were not aware of policy and don't need to be talked down to. SINCE you were making multiple purchases from different area's of the store, it makes SENSE to pay for all of it at one counter. You could have told that to the manager at the time that the woman was in fear of her job for you having gone to the wrong counter.

You've been satisfied for 3 years, buck up or speak up WHEN it happens!
If Braum's would start getting complaints about having to make TWO separate purchases for one visit, maybe they'd change that moronic policy. It all went down hill when you could no longer order bagged ice at the drive through. It was absolutely killing employees to walk the extra few feet to the freezer to fetch a bag. Bad policy, annoying policy and it makes a LOT of people angry about it. I hear customer's complain about it all day long to each other, but refuse to complain where it'll matter!
